Lucknow: Under the “Mission Shakti 5.0” initiative, the Alambagh Police Pink Booth team conducted a comprehensive awareness program for women and children at the Alambagh Bus Depot, focusing on prevention of crimes against women and cyber safety. The initiative aims to empower women and promote a sense of security in public spaces.
Program Overview
Mission Shakti 5.0, launched under the guidance of Lucknow Police Commissioner Shri Amrendra Kumar Sengar, has established dedicated centers at 54 police stations across the district. Each center is staffed with an Inspector, an Additional Inspector, a Sub-Inspector, and a Women Sub-Inspector to ensure rapid resolution of complaints and support for women visiting the station.
During the Alambagh awareness campaign, female police officers directly engaged with women passengers and children, educating them about their legal rights and practical measures to protect themselves from harassment, assault, and cybercrime. Information about emergency helplines—including 1090 (Women Power Line), 181 (Women Helpline), 1098 (Child Helpline), 112 (Police Emergency Service), 1930 (Cyber Crime Helpline), 1076 (CM Helpline), 101 (Fire Service), and 102/108 (Ambulance Services)—was also shared.
